What You Agree to When You Use This Tool

By using the cookie checker you accept these terms. They exist because even a small free tool needs its expectations written down.

No warranty on classifications

The report shows what this tool read in one response: the Set-Cookie headers as parsed, the third-party hosts found in the HTML, and consent platforms matched by known signatures. Purpose labels come from a hand-maintained list of cookie names and can be wrong for a cookie that reuses a common name. Scripts that run after load, tag managers and anything set on a later page are outside what a single fetch can see. The tool is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, and its operator isn't liable for losses that follow from using it.

Not legal advice

Whether a site complies with the ePrivacy Directive, the GDPR, the UK PECR, the CCPA or any other law depends on facts this tool cannot see and on legal judgment it does not offer. A clean report is not a compliance certificate, and a red one is not a finding of unlawfulness. Treat the output as technical evidence for a person who knows the applicable law.

Your responsibilities

Use the tool lawfully. Check pages you are allowed to inspect; a public page is public, but the responsibility for what you do with the findings stays with you. Don't abuse, overload or automate the fetch endpoint beyond normal interactive use. Don't use this service to probe systems you don't own or administer. The console snippet on the browser tab runs in your own browser on a page you opened; running scripts in someone else's browser is not what it is for.
